What are synthetic ice tiles?

Synthetic ice tiles are interlocking panels that create a skating surface for hockey training without refrigeration.

Can you skate on B2 Hockey tiles?

Yes. They are designed specifically for hockey skates.

Can they be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

How easy are they to install?

Very easy. The tiles snap together without special tools.

​

How much space does one box cover?

One box covers approximately 21.6 square feet.

​

Can I expand my setup later?

Yes. Additional boxes can be added at any time.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, within Canada and on orders of 5 boxes or more.

Can I park on top of them? 

Yes, they are robust enough to support the weight of a vehicle.

Do pucks slide on the surface?

Yes. The tiles provide smooth puck movement for shooting, passing, and stickhandling drills.

Does it feel exactly like real ice?

B2 Hockey Synthetic Ice Tiles are designed to provide a realistic skating experience that allows players to train with hockey skates at home.

While our synthetic ice is engineered for performance, it does not replicate the exact feel of real ice. Users should expect approximately 10–20% more resistance compared to skating on natural ice.

Are the tiles made of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)?

Yes. Our tiles are made from durable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). HDPE  is known for its strength, impact resistance, and low-friction surface, making it ideal for hockey training. It provides a smooth, ice-like glide while holding up to repeated use over time.

How do I clean the tiles?

The tiles can be cleaned with soap and water.

​

Do they require lubrication?

No. The material is self-lubricating. As the tiles are skated on, they self-lubricate. If the tiles are only being used for dryland training, they can be lubricated with any food grade lubricant.

Can I cut the tiles to fit my space perfectly? 

While we don’t recommend it, they can be cut as they are made of a soft plastic.

Can I use them without skates?

Yes, our tiles can be used with or without skates.

​

Can I use them for goalie training?

Yes, our tiles offer premium glide and can be used for goalie training.
